Office of Academic Education
As Associate Superintendent of Academic Education, I am honored to lead an exceptional group of staff who are devoted to providing support to teachers, students and parents. The vision for the Academic Education Department is to have a shared responsibility with principals, teachers, and parents as WE work to provide an enriched and rewarding learning experience for all DeSoto County students.
The team in Academic Education consists of all academic programs which include Career and Technical Education, Leadership Development, Research and Accountability, Special Education, Federal Programs, Technology and Curriculum. Personnel from these departments will work closely with you to provide the necessary assistance, resources and training opportunities designed to support student achievement.
As our superintendent has stated on numerous occasions, exciting days lie ahead for DeSoto County Schools, and this district has the potential to be one of the best school districts in the nation.
I wish you much success this school year!
