Thank you for your interest in DeSoto County Schools! The Personnel Department deals with matters involving employees, such as employment actions, hiring, recommendations and licensure.  The Personnel Department also handles internship placement requests and bank credit hour scholarship application.  A valid Mississippi teaching license is required for employment in DeSoto County Schools.  The DeSoto County School District offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits.  Full medical insurance is provided and dependent coverage is available to each employee at a minimal cost.  Additional benefits include ongoing professional development workshops for teachers, new teacher orientation and a mentoring program for educators who are new to our district.
