Participation in Open Enrollment is mandatory for all FULL-TIME employees of DeSoto County Schools.   

 

 OCTOBER OPEN ENROLLMENT CALENDAR

From September 24th through October 31st, you will meet with an American Fidelity Representative to complete open enrollment.  American Fidelity Representatives will continue to meet with employees in every school location including Central Services.  The American Fidelity School Location Calendar will be sent to every bookkeeper.

Flexible Spending Accounts, Dependent Day Care and Annuity (403b) changes or enrollment requires meeting with an American Fidelity Representative.

 Change in Premium Rates effective January 1, 2019 

Health, Dental and Vision premium rates will have a 3% increase effective January 1, 2019.  The revised rates will be posted on the Employee Benefits Forms and Brochures Page.  You can access that information on the left hand side of this home page under Links. 

Our health insurance is still provided by the State and School Employees' Health Plan which is administered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi.  Our prescription plan is managed by Prime Rx through BCBS of MS.  Our Dental and Vision insurance is still provided by Guardian Insurance.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

 An employee assistance program is offered to every employee of DeSoto County Schools free of charge.  Employees need not be enrolled in any other employee benefits offered by DCS to utilize this program.
