CHES Class of the Week
Center Hill Elementary School
Posted On: Monday, September 14, 2015

Third graders in Mrs. Matthews' class have been busy bees this first nine weeks! We are buzzing with learning our new multiplication and division facts. Just like bees work together in their hive, our class enjoys working together to help each other practice our multiplication times tables. Puzzles and games are the best! Learning is more fun when we play games and have fun while learning!

Cursive handwriting is back! Mrs. Matthews' third grade class is proud to show off their best cursive! We know 6 letters now... cursive i, t, u, w, e, and l. Watch out buzzing bees! Our cursive writing will swirl and curl all around you! We will be signing our name in cursive before you know it!

After our long weeks at work, Friday afternoons bring us exciting science explorations. Last week, we used science skills to investigate whether or not paper clips would float in water. At first, we thought it would not happen, but we continued to ask questions and experiment with new ideas. We discovered that we can make paper clips float in many different ways!

Third grade busy bees in Mrs. Matthews' class are making memories and new discoveries every day!
