  • It's a great day to be a Jaguar!



  • The graduation ceremony for the class of 2019 will be held at the Landers Center on May 21, 2019 at 7:00 pm. 
  • The 2018-2019 DC Roar yearbook is currently on sale.  Yearbooks will be sold for $65 and prices will increase in November.  Please visit to order your yearbook.
  • We will have school pictures next Monday.
  • All students should have a handbook, and you are responsible for the information in the handbook.   And, you should have it with you during the school day.
  • Students can't park in the front parking lot without a parking decal.  Any student that drives to school can purchase a decal.  If you want to park in the front, you need to purchase a decal from Ms. White at the front desk.
  • Chick fil A biscuits will be on sale in the Commons.  Each biscuit is 4.00.
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes would like to invite all students to join them on Friday mornings at 7:50 in room E10.
  • Southaven Chick-fil-A & Interact Club would like to encourage DC students to run in the DeSoto Grace 5K Saturday, September 29th.  The DC student that puts together the largest 5K team will win Chick-fil-A for a year.  The class with the most participation will win a catered breakfast for its participants.  Ten $25 gift cards will be raffled off at this breakfast.  Race applications can be picked up and turned into Ms. Foucault or Ms. Webb on D hall.
  • Senior Ad space is on sale for this year's edition of the DC Roar yearbook.  Stop by B21 to pick up your order form.  All orders are due by September 28th.
  • Athletic passes ar in.  If you ordered an athletic pass, stop by Coach Walls' office in D01 to pick it up.
  • If you would like to sign up for the bowling team, the list is on Coach Walls' door.  Stop by D01 to sign up for bowling and grab an information sheet which is also on Coach Walls' door.
  • Homecoming Days will be    

                       Monday- "Advance to the Next Space"- Space Day

                       Tuesday- "Game Day"- favorite board game, video game, sports team

                       Wednesday-"What do you Meme?'- Meme Day

                       Thursday- "Guess Who?"- Twin Day

                       Friday- "Return to Home"- Spirit Day

  • The DCHS Homecoming Parade will be Thursday, September 20th, at 6:30 pm down Central Parkway. 
  • Stop by the Homecoming photo-booth in the commons for $2.00 polaroids with homecoming props.  You can have your picture made in the mornings from 7:55-8:15 or during 3rd block.
  • Seniors, we will have an ACT prep workshop at DCHS on Wednesday, October 17.  The workshop will be free and will take place during 1st and 2nd blocks.  Space is limited, and seats will be filled on a first come/first served basis.  See Ms. Springer in the counselor's office to sign up.
  • Seniors, there ar numerous scholarship opportunities available outside of Ms. Springer's office.  Deadlines and requirements vary.  Stop by between classes to pick up applications.
  • Volleyball plays Hernando next Tuesday at 5pm at home.  The first 100 students who come dressed for the beach theme will get in free and receive free popcorn.
  • Juniors and seniors, if you are interested in applying for the United States Senate Youth Program, applications are new available.  The deadline to apply is October 12, and you can see Ms. Springer to pick up an application.
  • Jag Day will be this Saturday on our campus.
  • Our volleyball team plays tomorrow at home vs. Hernando, at Southaven Thursday and in Jonesboro Saturday.
  • Swim will be at Tunica Thursday.
  • Our cross country team has a meet at Latimer Lakes Wednesday.
  • Our Football team plays at home Friday night vs. Columbus.
