It's a great day to be a Jaguar!


  • The graduation ceremony for the class of 2018 will be held at the Landers Center on May 29, 2018 at 7:00 pm. 
  • Report cards will be given out tomorrow 3/23.
  • All students should have a handbook, and you are responsible for the information in the handbook.   And, you should have it with you during the school day.            
  • Seniors:  Make sure that your are familiar with the section of your handbook on page 29 about college visits.  All college visits must be pre-approved and you can get the paperwork in the attendance office.  If you go on a college visit without prior approval, it will count against you for exemption purposes.  Make sure that you plan ahead.
  • Juniors and Seniors: Make sure that you are familiar with the guidelines for inviting guests to our prom.  Those guidelines are listed on page 33 and 34 of your student handbook.  Our prom is scheduled for April 14th at The Columns in Memphis.  You can sign up guest in the main office, and the deadline will be March 23rd.
  • Prom will be Saturday, April 14th from 8:00-12:00 at the Columns in Memphis.  Tickets are on sale in Ms. Wooley's room B20.
  • Applications are available for the DCHS Leadership Class.  Leadership students mentor students from the middle and elementary schools during 3rd block.  The classes open to students who enjoy working with children.  Students must be juniors or seniors who can provide their own transportation and are eligible for early release.  You may pick up applications from the counselor's office, outside Mrs. Wooley's room B20, or on the school website.  Space is limited.  Applications are due no later than Friday, April 13, 2018.
  • Dance team clinic and tryouts will be held March 21st-23rd from 4-6 in the middle school gym.  Packets can be picked up in the office. 
  • The Theater Department will present Monty Python and the Holy Grail this Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm in the PAC.  Tickets are $5.00 each.
  • Graduation invitations and senior supplies will be delivered on Tuesday, April 10th at lunch.  Please bring your balance due on this day.
  • Options is a club for students pursuing a career related to Science/Health Care.  Mandatory interest meeting next Tuesday at 7:50am in D15 Ms. Golden's room.
  • There is a list posted outside D1 for anyone who is interested in joining the DeSoto Central Fishing Club.  There will be an interest meeting held in room A27 on Tuesday, March 27.
  • Our track team will compete in the county tournament at Center Hill Saturday. 
  • Our all-state honor choir students will compete in Hattiesburg, MS this Thursday and Friday.
  • Tennis will be at New Albany Friday.
  • 9th grade baseball will be at Hernando Thursday. 
  • Boys golf will be at Tupelo Thursday.
  • Girls golf will be at North Creek Friday.
  • Our softball team plays at Oxford Friday.
  • Our baseball team plays at home vs Horn Lake Friday, and Saturday at home against Germantown and Lewisburg.
