Lewisburg’s Chick-fil-A Student of the Month for April has been heavily involved in service projects and clubs throughout her senior year, and was honored by her peers this month as the 2017 prom queen. Abbie Hunter’s hard work on many charitable service projects this year has not gone unnoticed.

In addition to organizing Empty Bowls Project as the Interact Club president, Abbie was involved in the Homerun for Habitat fundraiser and Habitat for Humanity home build. She helped prepare food for residents of the FedEx House, and prepared care packages for military servicemen and women with the National Honor Society. She is the event chair for Best Buddies, she organized Christmas with the Elderly as the Superintendent’s Youth Leadership Council’s winter service chair. And she volunteered as a Spanish tutor as treasurer of the Spanish Honor Society.

Abbie will leave a legacy at LHS as a 3 time state championship band member, where she lead the band as drum major for the last two marching seasons.

In her spare time, Abbie has also been active in the MSU Honor Band, Ole Miss Honor Band, National English Honor Society, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and SADD. She has been selected as a member of the Class of 2017 Hall of Fame and was named Most Unforgettable by her Senior Class. She truly is an unforgettable student, so congratulations, Abbie Hunter: April’s Chick-fil-A Student of the Month.
