2014-2015 DeSoto County

CASE Benchmark Assessment Implementation

Benchmark Assessments

Case Assessments by TE21 are created for DeSoto County Schools based on our pacing guides and PARCC item guidelines.  Common Core Assessments will be given two times a year in math and language arts for kindergarten through 8th grade, English I, English III, Algebra II, and Geometry. Middle school Algebra I, 5th and 8th grade Science, Algebra I, Biology, English II, and US History will all align to a pacing guide and the Mississippi Framework.  Classroom teachers, along with curriculum specialists, created and modified the pacing guides that will be used for the 2014-15 school year. The instructional days/time on the pacing guide must be followed in order to ensure that what students are taught is not determined by who their teacher is but rather by the weight of the standards to be taught.
