Web Links for Teachers

The International Children's Digital Library -- http://en.childrenslibrary.org
This open-access resource has hundreds of digital books in dozens of different languages.
Teachers can use this resource to give students access to a rich library of culturally
diverse books in a fun digital format. And it's free!

Starfall Education -- http://starfall.com
Starfall Education produces a phonics-based reading and language arts curriculum and
maintains a free public website with games and activities. (As we have researched the
CCSS and looked for lessons and activities, I have noticed a number of districts who
provide links to this site.) The activities can be used for whole-class instruction,
individual instruction, computer lab activities, etc. It can also be recommended for
parents to use at home.

Quizlet -- http://quizlet.com
This website allows you or your students to develop flash cards for your class with or
without pictures, and it provides a text-to-speech feature. Quizlet will also turn the
flash cards into games or assessments with a touch of the tab.
