State Championship

OBHS Track Champs 2015web

     For the first time in the history of Olive Branch High School, a group of ten athletes won the overall Mississippi High School Activities Association 6A State Championship in Boys’ Track and Field, according to OBHS Principal Alyson Killough.
     “This is a tremendous accomplishment that took much work and preparation,” Mrs. Killough said.
     Mrs. Killough pointed out that it took a total team effort to secure this title. The individuals who made this happen are:
     · Lorenzen “Zoe” Burton won first in the state in the 200 meter dash and 400  meter dash
     · Dontavis “Doe Doe” Bruce, Kyquansar “Kyky” Austin, TJ Jallow, and Zoe   Burton won first in the state in both the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200m relays
     · Fred Walls won 2nd in discus and 3rd in shot put
     · Gabe Fortenberry, TJ Jallow, Devin Johnson and Jakiel “Turbo” Honorable won 3rd in the state 4 x 400m relay
     The OBHS track and field coaches are Michael Evans, Connor Denison and James Gaspard
