College Planning Services ESF (Eduaction Services Foundation): ESF counselors assist with everything related to planning and paying for college which includes career exploration, college search, ACT/SAT prep, college applications, resumes and essays, college interviews, and assistance with financial aid and scholarships. Please call for an appointment. ESF Main Office: 2600 Lakeland Terrace, Jakcson, MS They are open Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm They can be reached by calling 601-321-5555 or visiting them on the web at www.esfweb.com Peterson's Guide to College: Peterson usually puts out a large book about various colleges in the United States. I do not have access to the current addition but Peterson's Guide to College has been put on the internet. You can access the website by typing in http://www.petersons.com/ and registering. The site is free and has links to colleges and schools with basic demographic information about each one. Peterson's StudentEdge: Peterson has revamped their previous webpage with a updated and more user-friendly website. the site is still dedicated to college searches and financial aid. You can register for FREE access by going to the following website: www.studentedge.com How To Get Money For College: There are a ton of companies that make their living providing students with information on how to pay for college. The companies that I list are the ones that have sent me information. The most recent one I have received can be found at http://www.ecampustours.com/ It seems like a reputable company. It might be a helpful tool in choosing a college. Get EDUcated!: This is an organizationthat allows students to fill out one application to apply to 34 Historically Black Colleges or Universities for a fee of $35. You can apply online at www.eduinconline.com The Common Application: You can fill out one application for over 300 different colleges and universities. You can find out more information at www.commonapp.org CampusDoor: A college planning website that also helps with financial aid questions. You can also access another college planning website through http://www.getcolleged.com The campusdoor website is http://www.campusdoor.com/ Cappex: The website contains information about college profiles, college reviews, videos, student reviews, tution information, financial aid, and information about majors for over 3,000 colleges. You can access this site at www.cappex.com MyMajors: The website contains information about college majors, financial aid, high school student checklist for college, and various other college tools. To access the information, you can go to the following website www.mymajors.com The website is also linked to a college search website called College Outlook which can be accessed by clicking here. College Goal Sunday: The next College Goal Sunday will be on Saturday, February 26th, 2011. College Goal Sunday's are held at various schools around Mississippi and allow college bound students the opportunity to learn how to fill out their FAFSA with assistance from college financial aid officers.
