Counselor -- Beth Morris
Welcome to the Counselor’s Page
This is my third year at Chickasaw Elementary. It is also my 33rd year as an educator. I am a retiree from Memphis City Schools. I graduated from the University of Memphis with a Masters in Counseling. I am also a National Board certified counselor. The staff and students at Chickasaw are the very best. I love to come to work everyday. There are many services that I provide for our students at Chickasaw. I teach Character Education lessons in the classroom and in small group settings. Other lessons that I teach the children in small/ large groups are decision-making skills, problem-solving skills, self-esteem appreciation, anger-management skills and effective study skills. It is my goal to do my best to help break down the learning barriers so our students can excel in the classroom and in life. Parental involvement is very important at Chickasaw. In the Guidance classroom there is a Parent Resource Center. The Center includes information such as, to help parents improve parenting skills, to help with homework and to help handle stress.
