As on March 27, 2012 you will go online to register for CEU classes at the DeSoto MUNIS Self Service website https://desoto.munisselfservice.com/default.aspx . Sign in with your user name and a password. Make sure to put your email address in your personal information since everything will be communicated through email. Once you get signed into the site, click on left Employee Self Service, then click on Training Opportunities, then click on the CEU class Detail/Enroll. If you want to enroll, click the ENROLL button at the bottom. Once you sign-up, make a copy of the form. At this point you are not OFFICIALLY enrolled in the class. You must do the following and then you will be OFFICIALLY enrolled. Send the CEU FEE of $15 (Make check to DCS. Please do not send cash.) Put your personal phone number and the course name on the check. Attach check to a copy of your class approval printed off of MUNIS Self Service. On the copy put your name, your school, your email address and your personal phone number. Send the two to Jo Cox, Continuing Education Director, at the District Office, as soon as possible. After receiving the CEU fee of $15, a confirmation/approval email will be sent to you. You are then OFFICIALLY enrolled in the class. The CEU classes will be on the website approximately two weeks before the session begins. All courses are on a first come first serve basis of the completed process. The calendar will be updated as new courses become available.
The Mississippi Department of Education will not allow you to repeat a CEU class and use it again to renew your license.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the workshop or DeSoto County Schools will not refund the CEU fee. Please contact Jo Cox at the CEU office 662-449-7151 or email her at jo.cox@desotocountyschools.org if you must cancel or if you have any questions.
