 BACKGROUND: 
 Mr. Nichols served as mayor of Olive Branch for 20 years, during a time of tremendous growth for the city. He is a member of the Olive Branch Rotary Club, Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce and DeSoto County Economic Development Council and Olive Branch Lions Club. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Olive Branch YMCA.

FAMILY:
 Mr. Nichols is married to Dorgie Harris Nichols. They have two children, Cynthia N. Armistead and Milton Keith Nichols, and one grandchild, Rhett Jackson Armistead, and one great-grandchild, Emily Claire Armistead, all of Olive Branch.

BACKGROUND:
Mr. Dodd is employed by Federal Express in the Technology Services Division in Memphis, TN. He received his B.A. in Journalism from the University of Memphis and earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Science from State Technical Institute in Memphis.

FAMILY:
 He and his wife, Dana, a Sr. Business Transaction Specialist with
Federal Express, have one married daughter, one granddaughter and one grandson. They are charter members of HeartLand Church in Southaven.
Steve also serves as a Director on the boards of the Mississippi
School Boards Association and Christian Ministries International.

BACKGROUND:
Attended secretarial school following graduation from Towson High School in Towson, MD.

FAMILY:
She and her husband, Raymond, have two grown sons and five grandchildren.
They attend Minor Memorial United Methodist Church.

DISTRICT 4:
Patricia A. Hurt

BACKGROUND:
Ms. Hurt, a retiree of DeSoto County Schools is the site manager of Coleman-Crawford Estates in Hernando. She is a graduate of Hernando Central High School; Henderson Business College and Pizazz School of Cosmetology. She serves as the church financial secretary for Rising Sun Baptist Church.

FAMILY:
She is the oldest of seven children and the surrogate mother of Adryanauna, Jessica, Brittany and Natasha.

BACKGROUND:
Mr. Long has 44 years experience in the DeSoto County School District and served as teacher, coach and principal at Hernando High School.  He graduated from Belmont High School and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College, Mississippi State University and University of Mississippi.  Mr. Long has his Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in both Educational Guidance and School Administration.  He also receive the Mississippi High School Principal of the Year award in 1991 and was inducted into the Mississippi High School Coaches Hall of Fame in 2003.

BACKGROUND:
Mr. Treadway is employed at Treadway Law Firm in Olive Branch, MS. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a B.S. degree in Political Science. He also received a J.D. at the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1994. Mr. Treadway is a member of the Maples Memorial United Methodist Church and serves as the Senior High Sunday School teacher, Administrative Board, Council on Ministries, Staff-Parish Relations Committee at the church. He is also a member of the Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce.
