DECA . . . An Association of Marketing Students

The DECA Diamond:

The DECA Diamond is the official symbol for DECA. The points describe the areas of activity and learning that define a complete DECA program:

  • social intelligence, where students operate in groups for the purpose of learning and social interchange
  • leadership development, in which students develop methods and attitudes for motivating the chapter towards its goals
  • vocational understanding, where students learn the skills needed for careers in marketing, management and entrepreneurship
  • civic consciousness, in which students maintain an awareness of principled, informed citizen's role in the ife of the community
