Student Parking
The operation of a motor vehicle by students is a privilege afforded students enrolled in Horn Lake High School. Vehicles on the campus must be operated in a safe manner, and all rules and regulations concerning the operation of the vehicle must be followed.
Rules:
- Cars must be parked in their designated area. Students are absolutely not allowed to park in the front parking lot that is reserved for faculty members and visitors. If a student arrives to school after the 7:25 bell, the student must park in the west parking lot and walk to the front entrance.
- They must have a decal hang tag displayed from the rear view mirror.
- No loitering will be allowed in the parking lot. Once on campus, students are to park and lock their cars and then immediately enter the building.
- Reckless driving on campus and adjacent streets will result in driving privileges being revoked.
- Ninth graders will not be allowed to drive to school.
- Anyone parking on campus without a permit, in a restricted area, driving recklessly on campus, driving to vo-tech, or using his / her vehicle to skip school or aid another student in skipping school will receive disciplinary action. These offenses can result in lunch detention, community service, in-school suspension, home suspension, out-of-school, and / or loss of driving privileges.
- Repeated tardiness to first period by drivers can result in loss of driving privilege.
