Dear LCES Parent,

Welcome to Lake Cormorant Elementary School, home of the Gators!  

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome each of you to Lake Cormorant Elementary School. The students, staff, and parents are proud of our exceptional school and the opportunities it provides for all students.  With only its fourth year in existence, LCES is home to over eight-hundred students and eighty staff members in grades K-6. 

Learning is a priority for everyone involved in Lake Cormorant Elementary. We believe that a student’s desire to learn will determine his/her success.  Our mission is to provide all students the highest quality education in a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment fostered by a collaborative effort between school, parents, and community.

Upon entering Lake Cormorant Elementary, you will find a learning environment where students are encouraged to express themselves and are working hard to build a strong academic, social, and emotional foundation, as they fulfill their dreams for tomorrow.  You will find an environment where teachers and administration are working, as a team, to ensure students receive an academic foundation that will assist them in reaching personal goals and become life-long learners and problem-solvers.  You will also find an environment where students are actively involved in various activities, group projects and programs designed to foster academic achievement and self-confidence, as well as programs designed to recognize positive student behavior and academic accomplishments.

The parents and community are an active and vital part of the successes at LCES.  We value and appreciate the role that our parents and community leaders play in helping our school achieve our goals and maintain a high level of excellence. 

Again, welcome to LCES!  The staff and I look forward to working with you and your child, beginning in August.
