Marche' Phillips, Assistant Principal

My name is Marché Phillips and I’m extremely excited about being the new assistant principal at Lake Cormorant Elementary! Making a difference in the lives of your children is what I will work diligently to accomplish here at LCES.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Mississippi State University in Elementary Education. My Master’s Degree from The University of Mississippi was in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Elementary Education. Also, my Educational Specialist Degree from Union University was in Educational Leadership. I’ve been in education for 8 years and all of my experience has been in elementary. My educational career began in Marshall County School District. I was there for 5 years.  During that time, I was fortunate to gain experience, not only as a teacher, but also as an Instructional Facilitator and a Reading First Literacy Coach.  I began teaching in Desoto County in 2008 at Center Hill Elementary School.  Recently, I was an Intervention Specialist for the district.

I’m the mother of a beautiful little girl named Morgan Kamille. My ultimate goal in life is to make sure that she has the necessary tools for success, especially academically. This goal is what I desire for your children as well. I look forward to meeting the entire LCES community!
