Bonnie Maready, Asst. Principal

Gator greetings from the New Kid in the Swamp!  I am so excited to be a part of the Lake Cormorant Middle School Family.  I hope you will find me a positive addition to the school administration.  Here is a little information about me:

I am originally from Virginia, although I have been all over because of my military upbringing.  I spent my junior and senior years in North Carolina then graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education.  After marrying my high school sweetheart, I moved to Virginia and spent several years as a counselor before teaching students with special needs.  Those years taught me the importance of modifying and adjusting instruction as well as prepared me to develop curriculum.

In 1998, I moved to Olive Branch, Mississippi and began teaching for DeSoto County.  Later, in 2009, I earned my Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and assumed a role as assistant principal.  I feel strongly that through focused instruction we can teach our students to be prepared to compete in a world that requires employees to be "outside-of-the-box" problem solvers, team players, and able to ask targeted questions to find answers through multiple sources.  I believe a strong parent and school partnership leads to fully supported students.

Finally, I believe our students can achieve beyond our imagination!
