Meet our Principals
Mrs. Gloria Hopkins
Principal
I received my Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Memphis and my
Master's degree and Specialist's degree in Educational Leadership from Delta State
University. I have had experience with students in preschool, elementary, middle, and
high school. I served as the assistant principal at Shadow Oaks Elementary for four
years and became the first principal of Lewisburg Elementary when the school opened in
2005. I am married and have two children. I also have four wonderful grandchildren.
As principal of Lewisburg Elementary, my desire is to provide a quality education for all
students in a safe and secure learning environment. The staff at Lewisburg Elementary
strives daily to maintain and exceed the district, state, and federal educational
standards that are required of us. We not only have high expectations for our students,
but also for our staff, our parents, and our community. It takes all of us working
together for our students to be successful. We are extremely fortunate to live and work
in an area where education is valued. We appreciate the cooperation and support that we
receive from all stakeholders.
Mrs. Elisa Goss
Assistant Principal
It is an honor to work at Lewisburg Elementary School. It is exciting each year to see the academic, social, and emotional growth in our students; and this could not be done without the common focus of parents, teachers, and community members. I love to see students embrace their strengths to grow and learn each day. I look forward to another great year!
I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in special education and a master's degree from Arkansas State University in educational leadership. This is my fourteenth year as an educator, and this is my tenth year in DeSoto County. I have taught in elementary, middle, and high school settings. I am married and have one daughter.
