LHS Tardy Policy

Tardy Policy

 

Our tardy policy is based on one semester.

Tardies are counted as they occur to any/all classes each semester.  Students, who are not in the room when the bell stops ringing, are tardy.  Parents will be notified of discipline through the AutoDialer.

Morning Tardies:

Tardies 1 thru 5 – No punishment and no parent notification.

Tardy 6 –Home Suspension/Parent Conference

Tardy 7 thru indefinite – Student will be placed in ALC for the remainder of that day.

**Parents may present themselves to an Administrator 3 times for an excuse if their child is late but not the child’s fault, no exceptions.

Block Tardies: Tardies are accumulated for each block separately.

Students are allowed two (2) tardies with no punishment and no parent notification.

Tardy 3 – Students may choose After School Detention, Corporal Punishment, or Lunch Detention

Tardy 4 – Students may choose After School Detention, Corporal Punishment, or Lunch Detention

Tardy 5 – Students will be given ALC
