Ms. Lenore Turner has been our principal since 1993. She received a Bachelors degree in Education from Delta State University. She continued her education by completing a Masters degree in Education, a second Masters degree in Administration, and a Specialist degree in Education from the University of Mississippi. She taught in the elementary grades as well as in the gifted program before becoming Assistant Principal at Walls Elementary. Ms. Turner has been an asset to Southaven Elementary and has faced many challenges with the growth of our county and school. She adapts well to change and has remarkable vision for the future of our students. As we face the vast area of technology in education, Ms. Turner is staying abreast of the latest changes in this area. She is dedicated to teaching our children with the equipment of the twenty-first century so that our students may be successful in an ever changing world filled with new technology and learning challenges.
