P.A.T.S.

Parents and Teachers for Students (P.A.T.S.) is an organization that promotes parental involvement at Southaven Elementary.  Encourage any parent that you know to come join us.  There are no dues to join, and there are many ways for parents with hectic schedules to be involved.  If you are interested in joining, please contact Angela Streich, our P.A.T.S. Fall School Dance for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades is August 26, 2011 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and the dance for 1st and 2nd grades is August 27, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Chuck E. Cheese Night is September 1, 2011 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Mornings with Mom is October 7, 2011 from 7:00 am to 8:25 am.

Boo-Grams go on sale October 24, 2011 until October 31, 2011.  They are $.25 each.

Charleston Wrap Fundraiser starts October 24, 2011 and ends November 11, 2011.

First Semester Classroom Boxtops due November 4, 2011.

Turkey Feathers go sale November 16, 2011 until November 22, 2011.  They are $.10 each.

World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser starts January 18, 2012 and ends February 1, 2012.

Val-O-Grams go on sale February 8, 2012 until February 14, 2012.  They are $.25 each.

 

Winter School Dance for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades is February 10, 2012 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  The dance for 1st and 2nd grades is February 11, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Cookie Dough Fundraiser  begins March 5, 2012 and ends March 20, 2012.

Dates with Dads is March 9, 2012 from 7:00 am to 8:25 am.

Second Semester Classroom Boxtops due April 5, 2012.

How can you help Southaven Elementary?

1)  We will be having a boxtop contest this year.  The classroom that turns in the most boxtops each semester will win a boxtop party.  THE BOXTOPS HAVE TO BE TRIMMED AND IN DATE TO BE COUNTED.  IF THEY ARE NOT TRIMMED, THEY WILL NOT BE COUNTED.

2)  When shopping, remember that Office Depot donates 5% when school supplies are purchased if you tell the cashier that you would like the 5% donated to Southaven Elementary.  Target has a program through their Visa card that donates 1% of all charges to the school that you designate when the credit card application is  filled out.

3)  VOLUNTEERS are needed for the following events:

Fall Festival and Carnival Family Reading Night on October 27, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Polar Express Family Reading Night on December 1, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Spring Fling Family Reading and Math Night on March 1, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

4)  We have a Charleston Wrap Fundraiser in the Fall, a World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser in the Winter, and a Cookie Dough Fundraiser in the Spring.

The possibilities are endless if we all work together for our children!  Your assistance and ideas are needed!
