Levi Williams, Principal

Mr. Leviticus Williams is a native of Crystal Springs, Mississippi.  A proud graduate of Alcorn State University, Mr. Williams also earned credits for his teaching license from Mississippi College.  He began his teaching career with Memphis City Schools where he taught science and was an assistant coach for a number of years.  Mr. Williams' family consists of a wife, Latausha, and two daughters, Madison and Morgan.  When he's not working, Mr. Williams enjoys running, biking, and occasionally participates in sprint triathlons.  He is a member of Saint Andrew's AME church.

Bettye Magee, Assistant Principal 

 

Mrs. Bettye Magee is originally from Looxahoma, MS, and is a graduate of Magnolia Heights in Senatobia, MS.  She received both her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Delta State University.  Before becoming an administrator with Desoto County Schools, Mrs. Magee taught Language Arts at Hayes Cooper Center in Merigold, MS, from 1997 to 2008. She then taught 5th and 6th grade Language Arts  at Overpark Elementary. She is married to Joey Magee, and they have 2 children, Wes and Matthew.

Elizabeth Boggs, Assistant Principal

Ms Elizabeth Boggs is from Olive Branch but currently lives in Memphis. She has a Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, both from the University of Mississippi.  Prior to becoming an administrator, Ms. Boggs taught math at Olive Branch Middle School.

Timothy Chrestman, Assistant Principal

 My name is Tim Chrestman and it is an honor to be an assistant principal at Southaven Middle School.  I have been an educator for eight years in DeSoto County, teaching AP U.S. History and coaching soccer.   I am a lifelong resident of DeSoto County, graduating from Hernando High School in 1997.  I received my undergraduate degree in education from the University of Mississippi and my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Delta State University.  I have been married for four years to Nicole Chrestman and we have one child, Jaxon.  My top priority is safety of the students and staff.  Academic excellence is next on my list of priorities.  I look forward to the challenge of taking a great school to the next level.  This goal will become a reality when all those involved work together with a common goal.  I am looking forward to a great school year and making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Laura Hadaway, Assistant Principal

 

Mrs. Hadaway is a graduate of Bishop Byrne High School in Memphis, TN. She received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Ole Miss. She earned her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University.  She taught at both the elementary and middle school levels for 8 years in Desoto County before attending Delta State University where she earned a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. She is married to Tim Hadaway who is a Lieutenant with the Southaven Fire Department.  They have two sons, Timothy and Tyler who are graduates of Desoto Central High School and both are pursuing degrees at Ole Miss.
