Shadow Oaks Elementary

My name is Traci Suiter.  My family and I are from the "Show-Me-State".  We  lived in Bernie, in the Missouri Bootheel for fifteen years.   My daughter, Bayleigh RhaeAnne, attends University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) majoring in elementary education to become a teacher, and then will follow in my footsteps as an elementary principal.  My son, Marcus, attends Horn Lake Middle School, and plays football and baseball.  We are members of Goodman Oaks Church of Christ, in Southaven , Mississippi. 

I have been a member of the Desoto County School District team since 2004.  This will be my seventh year at Shadow Oaks Elementary as principal.  Last year was a wonderful and exciting year.  This year will be the very best ever:)

We have received the Governor's Award for Excellence in Health and Education for our efforts in fighting childhood obesity every year since 2005.  I have also been an Elementary Principal, K-6, in  the state of Missouri.  I have been teaching since 1991, in grades ranging from preschool-twelfth grade.  Graduated from Twin Rivers High School in Broseley, Missouri.  Attended Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, then transferred to Southeast Missouri State University, in Cape Girardeau.  I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood, and a Master of Arts Degree in Elementary Administration, from Southeast Missouri State University.  I started working on a Specialist's Degree to become a School Superintendent, at Southeast Missouri State University, and will continue to work on this degree in the state of Mississippi.  My slogan is TEAM, "Together Everyone Achieves Miracles".  We arrived in Mississippi in February, 2004.  Everyone made us feel like part of their family.  Being a part of the Desoto County School District is fabulous!!
