Wendy Leigh Myers Memory Maker Playground Dedication at Hernando Hills Elementary School
Children at Hernando Hills Elementary School are fulfilling Wendy Myers' dream. They are playing on a sensory playground dedicated in her honor. Mrs. Myers passed away from cancer, but her legacy lives in the laughter of students who enjoy the playground on a daily basis. The playground engages all senses of children. They have the ability to create, explore, imagine, grow, and dream on a beautiful playground addition. Mrs. Myers introduced this idea as a solution for students who learn from sensory play. The dedication was attended by retired principal Stephanie Gilder, HHES Principal Wendy Michael, School Board members, Supt. Cory Uselton, Mayor Tom Ferguson (Hernando), and Mr. Billy Myers.
