
DeSoto County Schools Career Tech West to Host 7th Annual Car & Truck Show
DeSoto County Schools is proud to announce the Seventh Annual Car & Truck Show, hosted by the Automotive Program at the Career and Technology Center – West Campus. This annual event continues to serve as a high-impact, community-facing initiative that showcases student talent, strengthens industry partnerships, and elevates awareness of career pathways in the automotive sector.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, with vehicle registration open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Participants and attendees can expect a well-organized, family-friendly environment that highlights both classic craftsmanship and modern automotive innovation.
This year’s show will feature a diverse range of competition categories, including:
Classic Car & Truck (Pre-1990s)
Late-Model Car & Truck (1990s and newer)
Import
Rat Rod
Student Division
In alignment with our district’s workforce development strategy, the event provides students with authentic, real-world exposure to automotive careers while fostering connections with local businesses and industry professionals. The Jerry Cox People’s Choice Award will once again recognize standout entries, reinforcing community engagement and participation.
