The DeSoto County Schools Accreditation and Advanced Academics department consists of enthusiastic educators who are committed to ensuring continuous school improvement and high levels of learning for all, adults and students alike. The goal of the department is to support school leaders, teachers, parents, and students as they strive for academic excellence in a myriad of academic settings.
Lucy Hasselman began serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Accreditation and Advanced Academics in July 2020. She has 28 years of experience in education. She has served DeSoto County Schools as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and director at the district level. She has one child, a daughter, who attends DeSoto County Schools.
