Hello! Welcome to Miss Powell's Class!

I'm very excited to work with your child this year to reach his/her goals! I know that we will find great success this school year! 

A little about myself: I graduated from Ole Miss in 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education K-6. I'm also endorsed to teach Special Education, Math, and Science. 

Before I graduated from Ole Miss I completed my intern experience at Horn Lake Intermediate School. Next, I started my teaching career at East Tate Elementary for one year, and transferred back to DeSoto County after my time there.At HLES I have taught second grade, First Grade SpEd and Kindergarted SpEd.

Outside of school I love to spend time with my dog (Willow), go kayaking, and spend time relaxing by watching my favorite Netflix shows! 

I can't wait to learn more about your child, and see them grow into successful first graders!
