As the Director of Secondary Education, I support administrators and teachers to ensure the highest level of opportunity and growth for students in grades 6th-12th. Our department also houses four secondary instructional specialists who work in schools to support teachers and the academic success of students. We are dedicated to providing a curriculum which best supports students as they grow as learners. We look to focus on college and career readiness across all content areas to prepare our students for the rigors of a competitive work force and of higher education.

In addition to a focus on academics, our middle and high schools provide a myriad of extra-curricular activities and opportunities to help students grow as collaborators and leaders. We are dedicated to helping each student be the best that he or she can be. We invite parents and stakeholders to explore the many informational links provided for information about our programs and instructional practices. Please contact me if I can be of assistance.

I welcome you to DeSoto County Schools.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Stripling,
Director of Secondary Education
